Church

I stepped outside today so I could talk to God. One step, two step, dirt beneath my feet and I walk. Cool and sharp, liberating and healing, it has been too long.

I sought communion in granite and icy streams, seldom hearing your response while I was away. Step by step I’m closer to the answer I seek, only to find questions under moss and stone.

Dancing pines fill my eyes with a sparkle reserved for new life and new life it is. The crisp air breathing into me more than life but an energy so palpable every limb is electrified and sensing.

The symphony of the forest ever aware of my presence, so seldom these days. I come to the mountain to get closer to you, only finding you moved once again.

So I’m surrounded by beauty only to wonder, which part of this great world am I to wander?
